Just rebuilt the Cummins (stuck injector :{), but had the shop put in a Colt "Big Stick" cam while they were there. I'm hoping the towing EGT's will really be lowered as much as claimed, but I can tell you spool up is SO much faster and I haven't seen a puff of smoke yet. Oo.

So, big thumbs up for now, and I'll update once I get to tow again on the EGT drop. Great vendor out of Idaho, they really walked me through what I was looking for and recommended this cam. I'm happy to post the link to them if anyone is interested (or PM me for the sales guy who helped me out- I can send you his phone number).

Oh, and the idle is smoother now also! Bonus!

Nice! What year and trans do you have? And is the "Big Stick" a different version from Colt Cam? Keep us posted.
Thanks!

Truck is 06 with Goerend trans. Not much else at this point- just try to keep it cool with 5" turbo-back and CAI with Banks intake elbow (and gauges of course). I just added a nice 3-micron fuel filter system, too, hoping I prevent another injector!

My EGT's stayed the same when my colt big stick cam was installed. I also installed 125hp tips and a floor it stg 3 cp3 at the same time though. So I'm pretty sure egt's will drop if no other power addres have been added. Truck will also be a lot quieter!

Thanks, Mobius1! Yeah, I should be a lot cooler if you have the same EGT's with 125hp tips!! Your truck must be a rocket. And, yeah, I described it as smooth, but quieter is probably the better description. Nice.
