So far the truck has 3400 miles on it and seems now that I go over a bump I hear some type of thumping coming from the floor. I've looked under the truck to see if there was anything hanging down that could cause it, but found nothing. I've read other posts about shocks might be causing this. Has anyone else had this problem with their 2002 truck? If so, what was the solution if you found one?

Thanks, Michael

just to rule them out, grease your upper ball joints, and the ball joint at the end of the torque link ( I think that is what you call it)

IMHE (In my Humble Experience) check on these things too:

1. Spare tire tight?? They can rattle and send raps throughout the frame.

2. Bad shock - not worn out in that mileage, just bad!!

3. Track bar ball stud - Uh oh. here we go!!

4. 'Sway' bar frame saddles. I blew one out (had upgraded to Energy suspension) passengers side, which reflected a rap like a ball peen hammer on the DRIVER'S side. ES said I musta bottomed the suspension, but here in New England that's getting out of the driveway!!

Good luck in the search!
