Good times without a doubt!

dont forget, we paid the tab for the table next to ours due tue to the peanut fight, and it was $90.

that and I am also a good pick pocket.

I was glad that it was the county cops and not the state cops on patrol on Saturday. They were the typical backwoods cops. They dont care if the road has a little rubber on it, or if you drive fast. Only if someone innoncent will get hurt, and on saterday, there was noone on that road that was innocent.

Matt

OH YEAH the brunette!!!

The Reunel's give me 4wd weight... . you no one can use the excuse... your trucks faster cause it's lighter!!

If i was parked right behind you... . why the heck didn't you come over and say howdee?? did the ATS stickers scare you off??:-laf... just teasin'

I heard there was actually a "pool" going on with some regards of me getting home in one piece.

Well, I got home Monday at 7am. It took $50 worth of oil just to make it from Houston, to Laredo. As some of yall know, I got struck with the killer dowel pin, and what I thought was a stuck injector, turns out I think I bent a valve.

I feel bad about doing it, but I bought Eric McBrides truck,, he really babied it, well taken care of, never pulled anything with it, and the first morning after I buy it, I get a gooseneck hitch installed, and Sunday Afternoon, I hook it up to a 29' Car hauler with my 7,500 pound dually on the back, and proceed to tow 800+ miles with it. It towed good. Best RPM was 2,200 - 2,400 RPM anything lower and EGT climbed, anything higher and it felt like I was pushing the motor.

Anyway,, all worries aside, Had a great time. Enjoyed watching the sled pulls,,, too bad that DT466 re-powered Ford couldn't keep from hopping. J. R. Adkins broke,, we tried REALLY hard to get his truck ready for the next pull, but couldn't button it up in time. Chris Strickland had a good pull going,, but halfway way through the fun, his turbo busted a nut on him (Some of yall might remeber a comment like that from me @ Lee's  ). The nut on his little turbo came off. Had an awesome time talking to Piers, Peter, J. R. and others in the parking lot of Lee's after the pulls, and right after 01_HO and others were doing some parking lot racing, and donuts. (Talk about laxed law enforcemnt!!)

Had a great time, I know I'm leaving alot out, but I'm running short on sleep, and need to get to bed.

yep, the trucks you saw were all of us from missouri. my truck was on the trailer behind the black sport(01-H0). It was a purple quad cab. well, it was purple but the right side probably had a tint of black(soot) by the time we got home.complements of J. R. Adkins. haha

This was our second trip to TIM, and its getting better each year. It was cool to see all the trucks at Texas road house, not to mention the food !! Thank god that place is down there, I would go broke eating there if it was close:D ;) :D . All the boys had a great time and are ready to head down there again. You all should see Ladyjaine's tent, she is a real class act ! Met a lot of nice folks down there and hope to see them at TIM next year. The Dyno was better this year, and the staff was really nice to deal with, hope they show up for next year.

Some suggestions for next year,

It would be nice to see more vendors come to TIM with actual stuff to sell and maybe a show price on some items. I had the money and the OK by the boss to spend it on some bombing items, I left with 4 t-shirts, base ball cap, and a new gas cap cover, not a HX40 turbo and fast coolers like I was looking for.

Also maybe more food vendors ? Lions ran out of food by 6pm sat.

Again, great time had by all:D :D :D

Merrick

Good to see you made it home alright, give us some reports on the trucks progress and take some pics of the damage to get out on the Internet. BOTW I didn't make it home trouble free either, but no real down time just a mess to clean up when I got home... . fixed now. Hope to make it to the clash of the titans race if cash permits.

Hmmmm, nobody bought THAT square! :D I guess the "promoter" gets to keep the proceeds. :p

LOL

I have to clean the underside of my truck, darn wife got the keys to the truck about 11am on Monday on the way home, and the tach never went below 2700 after that:D . It was hanging at 3000+ for a while, and now the underside is misted from the breather tube I extended:( . This has never happened before and the oil level didnt change. I atribute it to the high RPMS for 6=8 hrs straight:D . We made it home in about 10 hrs.

Snowman That's a pretty good story:D Hey they say drive it like a rent a car, tell her I give it a thumbs up for that drive and the racing the night before... . what I can remember:confused:

Jim

Jim, I dont think anyone believed me when I said my wife drove my truck very hard, until they seen her in Muncie:D . She called me this winter from the interstate,in my Dodge, she told me my truck drives/handles great with the plow on at 110mph:D . I never go over 60 with the blade on,then she went on to say it did nice 1-2,and 2-3 posi patches with all the plow weight up front. It came back as usual with the tires still smoldering from her burnouts. Had she been driving my truck in Muncie she would have been much more aggressive, and the tire smoke/exhaust smoke together woudl have stopped traffic for a few minutes. Glad we werent in my truck:-laf .

Does this mean I can't pretend to be a gruff, humorless curmudgeon any more? :)

As I was the official scorekeeper for the sled pulls, I was *sorely* tempted to put Gene's 7200 open distance as 296. Considering how much it hurts *me* to see Gene's head so swelled, I wanted to save him from all the pain *he* must feel. Alas, integrity caught me at a moment of weakness, and I scribed his official distance. I do apologize.

:D :D :D

In the next few days, I'll get my many pics of Muncie and the pulls up on my website. I took around 300 pics.
