Tie downs

The factory ones held up longer than I expected, lol.



Here is what I did out of some stainless steel that was lying around. What other kinds of tie downs have you guys bought or made?

I like them, how are they attached to the bed? Bolts on the other side?

The bed tie downs bolt through the re-enforced area where the stock tie downs are and use large washers behind the rest of the bolts. On the front bed tie downs one of the top bolts goes through some of the stake pocket re-enforcement too. Can't get a picture of the sides. Here is a picture of the front of the bed.

The angle along the top rail bolts through the bed and then through 1/4" flat bar that runs the backside of the bed. The angle will help strengthen the bed rail so it is less likely to buckle from an impact to the center and the tie down holes are still accessible with the cap on the truck.

Just moved a piece of equipment from Memphis, some 750 miles, and they worked great.
