Can't find much information on replacement tie rods themselves. I have an 89 I recently bought and the steering is a little loose and it will pull to the right if I hit rough ground or anything like that. The center link needs to be replaces but I also noticed that the left end of the tie rod is a little bent like the previous owner drove into a rock or something. A little hard to tell from the picture the extent of the damage but hopefully this will do.

What do you guys think? Is this something i might be able to heat up and bend or should I try and find a replacement? And if so where I can I find a replacement I can't seem to find any information except for tie rod ends. Only thing I can think of is to take it off and take is to a steel shop and have a custom one built. Thanks for the help!

You can order them from ROCKAUTO.COM they will mail them to your mailbox. I've ordered quite a bit from them, always happy with what I get..

You can build Your own! I did. The Factory unit was trashed There is a thread on the build here;https://www.turbodieselregister.com/threads/213500-93-W-250-Tie-Rod?highlight=Tie+rod+replacement
The threaded ends are available left and right hand threads. Matching up the DOM tube OD and wall thickness(I.D.) with the available slip fit, threaded adaptors for the tie rod ends is the biggest chore. On the '93 the threads, IIRC are 7/8"-18. MOOG makes the ends.
Check out the thread! Sorry about the rambling. GOD Speed!

I got a brand new tie rod center link from offroad design.com, it is made from dom tube and is bigger around and thicker then the factory one and uses heavy jam nuts and not clamps to lock the tie rod ends.

Anyone know where to grease the outer tie rod ends on a 2013 2500 4×4?

I don’t see a zerk fitting for the front tie rod ends. Manual says to grease them.

Did the front drive shaft and bent up my injector needle.

While you are at it may want to check out the Reid Racing HD steering knuckles that Off-road carries. That is what's going under my 93 after the right side stocker fractured for no good reason going down the highway at 65 mph.

Welcome to the TDR Forums! I would suggest asking that question in the gen 4 section as not many here in the gen 1 section are familiar with the gen 4s. I will say though there is a good chance they have moved back to non grease able. I remember something on that...

To the OP, yes. That is bent. I would not be using it as is due to your toe likely always being a bit off.

Another place you may find one is www.car-part.com

After hours under the truck, assisted by the dog I was able to find the drive shaft fitting and grease it with a heavier than normal grease needle from Amazon that was referenced in another thread. As far as I can determine there are NO other grease fittings anywhere despite what the manual says.

I did inject grease with a thin needle in all the rubber boots. I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me later.
On my 99 ( 2WD)I had drilled and tapped the ball joints and installed grease fittings and still have all the original front end parts. (576K)
Not being able to lube the 2013 really bothers me
