Just talked to my Father today who has a 93 Dodge Cummins.

He had just had a diesel shop install some Tiger Tips on his injectors which were suppose to add around 50hp to his truck.

Anyone ever heard of these and what kind on results did you get?

He paid $600 for this up grade. His truck is otherwise stock.

*I'VE* never heard of them

And I've been here 3 years as a member; another 8 mo or so before I broke down and joined. But I could haev missed something. It could be a tip from one of about two dozen or so applications. So, how does it perform after the injector rebuild? Boost, smoke, temps? DOnt tell me he has no gauges.

I am going to his house today, I want to see what he got for $600, and if their is any power difference. And no, he doesen't have gauges, he is 67 and said he doesen't need them. Maybe I will get him a ETG gauge for new years!

I have not heard of them either! Maybe they are more know under a differnet name?? $600 for the tips, or rebuilt injectors with tips added? Tell us more when you know!

Your father is absolutely right, he doesn't need any gauges ;) , but the engine does. Do him a big favour and get him the pyro, the extra 50hp will produce more heat, and you may prevent another "Chernobyl".

Back from Dads, The injectors were rebuilt and new "Dragon Tips" were installed on the injectors. (before I thought they were tiger tips) He does have a noticable power gain, no smoke and... ... . no gauges. That is as much info as I could dig up about the $600 job. I made the mistake of letting him drive my truck for a compairson... ... ... ... . now he wants a new one! :D
