Tilt column

Was there ever a tilt column for the first gen's? i Need one for a 93 stick in grey if anybody has a lead. TIA

Note: Mods, I will post this in the classafieds also, just need a litte exposure.

1st Gens did come with tilt as an option. I think it was part of the "LE" package.



Don't have a lead on one, but keep an eye on eBay. Once in a while someone will list parts for our trucks, and it's worth an email to see if they have other stuff laying around - that's how I found my headliner trim.

All the 1st gens I have seen had black columns in them. I haven't seen any other color. But most of the outer colum is plastic so you can dye it to any color you want.

Black is right, I can't recall any other colors either... .

My truck is one of the rare "plain janes" that has tilt and AC.

I didn't want any other stuff (eg: chrome) to get ripped off in the bush. We had to wait months for the truck to arrive and it was a total accident when it did.

Just plain, with AC and tilt. It's pretty "utilitarian" with rubber mats and hand crank windows but it looks new.

An LE option??

I have owned 6 1st Gens, and looked at a dozen and a half others, and have yet to see one that DIDNT have tilt. Even the one w/o AC had tilt. You did get a rare one indeed. I can look in a few junkyards around here- I need to go on a parts excursion this weekend, myself.



Pastor- Oh how i miss my 93 W350, with its really cool flatbed, cranky windows (and the occasional cranky girlfriend/ passenger :-laf), rubber floor mats. Just open the doors, and hose her out- no carpet to worry about. It was nice.

Only miss her IN the back of the truck cab:-laf Yes, pastor, I was referring to the pickup. Power winders and cloth seats with carpet dont do well on the ranch, esp after working cattle all day. Or hauling hay. Or driving doewn the gravel.
