I've been waiting for my truck to come in since February 12th. Right now, it's scheduled to be at the dealership on 5/31. That was after it was the 14th, then 18th, then 24th. My question is: At what point should I look to get some kind of compensation from DC, and what should it be? Thanks for any replies.

Problem is that if the truck was shipped it is really not DC's fault that it is not to you yet... there could be a number of factors as to why your truck is not to you yet and they are really out of DC's controll.

Do you know where your truck is at??

Unless you put some language in the contract... ...

My truck keeps getting pushed too. May 24th delivery to now June 9th. Rather wait for what I wan't though.

I know the feeling, the dealer promised me delivery by 6/2 and DC said it should be shipped that day from the factory assuming all things are okay. I hate dealers! They see a woman and assume I'm a sucker. But I want what I want and that's final. So I guess I'll have to wait till the 16th. Bummer! Am jonesing for the new ride and my pony isn't going to last much longer.

Well, the truck was ordered 2/12, and it wasn't completed until 4/22. Then it sat at the plant for another three weeks before getting on a rail car. I've traced it since 4/22, at least twice a day, checking it's progress. I have a street map showing all the places it's been through Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, etc. It was sitting not an hour from here for a day, and has since gone in a big circle, away from home, where it has sat for the last 9 days.

I understand not ALL of the problem is with DC, but they have to be able to put pressure on someone to get it moving. Why can someone in Washington state get their truck in 30 days, which I admit is lightning fast, and it takes mine 4 1/2 months and counting? There is no excuse that will appease me at this point. DC claims there is nothing they can do. I finally got a hold of the regional manager, and he says he will expedite it once it gets off the rail. Wow, that will save me, what, 4 hours?

Customer satisfaction is what drives customers to buy and return to buy again. Everyone in the business world recognizes this, but it doesn't seem to matter to DC. $40,000 would seem to be enough to make something happen in my book.
