2006 Mobile Suites 36TKS too much weight

Dodge heavy hauler!

I'm due for a set 6 tires. I'm leaning towards Michlien. I can't decide on highway or off road. I don't really go off roadmuch but do have to go 4wd once in a while. I'm leaning toward highway for a quieter and smoother ride. I'm concerned that on the rare occasion where I might wish for off road tire, I'd regret it. Thoughts?

I would go with the highway tire, you have 4x4 for off road. They will last a lot longer.

I am using the Michelin LTX MS/2 tires and am VERY happy with the tire, ride, handling etc. The set I have on the 2004 truck is past 60,000 hard towing miles and there is some tread to go yet.

I lost my POC Generals on the road that came with my C&C (LT235/80/R17) and just bought Michelin LTX-M/S-2 in Vegas on my way home yesterday. So much smother and I do off road from time to time, so the little 4X4ing I do, I'd rather own HWY tires. In my opinion you can't beat Michelin, except the price, (most expensive) but a 3500 DRW in a 4X4 situation should not attempt the same trail as a 2500/3500 SRW that requires more aggressive off-road tires for the trail their capable of.

I had two General tires separate the tread in two weeks, and had to drive three hundred miles with one SRW and one DRW. My Uncle passed away last Saturday so I had to make the trip on legal tires but just barely. I had to put my spare on the front two weeks earlier due to the same problem, so I thought I was OK until I developed a heavy vibration climbing Baker grade on the truck. Found front tire with the same issue, then ran one SRW to Alamo NV then back to Vegas where I purchased my better Michelin tires.
