I'm nearing 60k miles and my tires look like they'll last until the end of summer if I push it. I'll definitely be buying new tires before hunting season.
Since I've had such good luck in longevity and road noise with the stock tires (Michelin LTX A/S, 265/70R/17 load range E) I'm thinking about buying the same tires again. A friend told me to check out Yokohama H/T-S tires. They have one that is in the load range E but the online reviews for the tire isn't nearly as good as the D range.
I don't mind paying more for a tire if I'm going to get the same longevity out of them. I drive mostly on paved roads going back and forth to hunting areas towing a 4k TT at about 80 MPH. I do drive off road in some areas and 4wd has been a necessity with the LTX's, which I don't mind.
I'd like to stay near the stock tire with the same capability. Does anyone have any experience with the Yokohama tires? Are they comparable tires to the Michelins? Is there a better tire out there with more longevity and capacity?
