Ordered my 3500 SRW on 2/21. It's in Oklahoma this a. m. and due in rail yard on Sun. 3/28. Usually takes 1-2 days to get to my dealer which is only about 3 miles from the yard. I'll really be tickled if I get it by 3/31 since I have an ep cert. that expires on 4/1.

STILL WAITING

Oo. Oo. Oo.

Put deposit down 1-29-04, Ordered actually entered 1-30-04. Somehow wrong name was entered on order. Correct order entered 2-2-04. Officially finished being built 3-11-04. Right now, sitting on a railcar on a sidetrack, waiting till tomorrow to be unloaded per Union Pacific.

Website projects delivery 4-5-04. 10 weeks if that is correct. While it is a drastic understatement to say that I am impatiently waiting, and the wait is killing me, I would rather DC get this truck right and wait a few weeks longer on it. Last truck was just awful. Real lemon.

By it coming in after 3-31, I can not take advantage of the RBayls green slip and save some dough. It has been 10 years since I drove a car on a daily basis, and I have been doing it for 6 weeks since I sold the lemon. I don't miss the problems, but I miss my truck. Yeah, I'm :{ :{ :{

How long you ask? I freakin VERY LONG TIME!

Top things off, I say 95% of it is spent in some lot sucking up the suns rays!

See below for my dates. I'm still waiting... .

You guys are lucky

Ordered 12/30/2003. It now sits in Louisiana on a train bound for Winston Salem, NC. (Thats 12 weeks and 2 days for those who dont want to do the math) ETA is 4/7/2004

I don't get it? I order Feb. 4th and still not even D1 yet. How can someone order 3-4 weeks later than me and they have their truck already en route? That makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Can someone please explain this theory to me? When I go to a restaurant and order from the menu, then someone else comes in 10 minutes after me and orders, and they get their food first? Nah, someone would definitely get an ear full for that kind of bull****. Same thing here. Someone needs a butt chewin. This will be my first DC and I can honestly say that I am not very happy about all this.

Put deposit down 1/17, order in 1/19, D1 2/5, KZ 2/18, arrived Vera Cruz 2/27, SAT for about 3 weeks, arrived Baltimore 3/18, now SITTING there 1 weeks now. ETA on Insight says 3/31, but my dealer is non-responsive.

Well, Jay & GSchmitt, you make me feel better.

I ordered mine on 1/8/04 & it was built on 1/20/04. It's a 3500 Quad CTD LB Laramie 4. 10. It MIGHT be delivered before the end of the month.

And I thought I was the worst case... .

I ordered mine on 12/30. It went D1 in the beginning of March and was a week or so after. Now it has been sitting waiting for it's green card so it can leave Mexico and go to St. Louis :{ . I'm hoping to see it by the week of April the 12th. Total time 15-16 weeks  This really sucks I'm pretty #@$%! #@$%! #@$%! at DC for this one. After all this it better be perfect when it comes in. Hopefully you will have better luck that me. You would think that if it's a sold vehicle they could expedite the order better.

Jay R.

I still have you beat Jay. Ordered 10/10/03, ETA 3/29. Built 1/9, which is the worst of the 600's. After I ordered in October to be sure I'd get the 305/555.

Baking the paint and interior and rubber in the sun's rays for sure just tops it all off! My patience is officially shot!!!

I ordered mine 2-16. Has still not went D-1 status. Dodge's customer relations in this ares is poor. I hope they are looking into improving in this area. Your order should be on the Insight web as soon as you have a von number.

Wow, I thought I was the longest wait time champ! You have me beat by a mile. I ordered three weeks befrore Xmas. Order sat for 5-6 weeks at the factory with no action taken because they had a backorder on the factory soft tonneau cover... all without informing the dealer (I had to complain before the dealer got on the phone to find out what happened to the promised "4-8wk" delivery time). They re-ordered at that time without the tonneau ("No problem" they said, "We'll take care of you" they said... yeah right!, the dealer wants double what the factory charges, plus they want installation labor... factory throws it in the cab, and the dealer puts it on as part of the prep!!!). Don't even get me started on the mirage known as UConnect... a ghost option offered for almost a year now that the factory has yet to deliver a single vehicle equiped with one yet. At any rate, order went D1 (scheduled for build) on 1/29. It was completed on 2/11 and released by the Saltillo plant the same day. It sat until it was loaded on a rail car on 2/19. It took until 2/24 to get to the Port of Vera Cruz. It wasn't loaded on the boat until the 3/6. It finally reached the Port of Baltimore on 3/15. I'm in Jersey: it still isn't here yet!!! he delivery date on DC's Insight website has stated 3/29 as the 3/29 (estimated). I'm still waiting!!!! I highly doubt I will ever order another vehicle again... certainly not from DC. ON top of all this, the dealer appraised my trade-in almost two months ago as they anticipated me having my truck in a couple of weeks. My trade in now has almost 3,000 more miles, and is, obviously, worth less. On top of that the 0%/48mos. plus $2,000 back rebate deal came and went. I'm gonna fight and have the dealer call DC's fulfillment center and get me that damn rebate if it's the last thing I do. There's a reason why DC has always been, and will always be, last when it comes to sales... and the above is a big (but not the only) reason why. If it ever gets here, I'll be shocked if it has all the options (minus UConnect and tonneau cover) I ordered... . I didn't miss but a couple of boxes on the order sheet. My patience came and went a long time ago.

jlockhart and khogan,

I forgot tomention that I had order an almost duplicate truck back on Oct 17th from a different dealer becasue I was afraid of having a new Cummins with egr on it and it still wasn't in by the fisrt week of Jan. It finally came in on Jan 10th but I had already ordered a 600 on Dec 30th because the reviews were so good on it. Total time waiting for a new truck... . 25 weeks. The orders were through two different dealerships so I can't blame them. DC is the culpret in this case. I don't have any idea how these people get their trucks in the 4-6 weeks. It's pretty disappointing to say the least.

How long does it take the blue oval guys and the bow tie guys to get their trucks?

i have ordered several ford crew cabs for work. i like the dodge and the cummins better personally, but we travel long distances to work and the smallish cab on my dodge isnt too comfy for the adults in the back.

getting to the point no truck from ford has ever taken more than 6 weeks and most have been 4 weeks.

do you think someone from dc customer service reads the post from tdr members? I cant belive a company wouldnt use a site like this to find what people are complaning about and use that info to improve their sales or at least answer those complants.

It seems many people ordering and recieving truck all have the same problems. duh dc!

Amen to that, Brother Jack-Green!

They need to get their act together (DC). I bought my 2nd-gen. Ram because it looked good... it hasn't been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. I'm buying the 3rd-gen for two reasons: Cummins Power and It's still the best looking truck by far. I'm already regretting my decision to go Dodge again because of the horrendous buying experience I have had so far. With my luck, this is only the beginning of my aggravation with DC and this vehicle. Let's hope I'm wrong. If I had bought the ugly Ford with the unreliable Powerstroke, I'd have already had months of ownership aggravation, er, enjoyment! LOL!

Jay- You do know that there is no EGR on the Cummins 600, right? They were able to meet the emissions without it, after all. Not so on brand X diesels.

My order was placed 12/30/03. Truck was built 3/08/04. Dropped @ dealer on 3/2604, after being tranported by rail from Saltillo,CU to Lawrenceville, GA. It sat on a truck carrier and then made the last 2 hours of its passage and arrived 4 days earlier than the arrival that was posted on vinvision---- The truck is perfect from end to end!!!! This is my 5th CTD and worth the wait.

JAH
