time out on search

may have been covered before sorry. .



when using the search new topics method . . after a while and before reading all the posts as there are so many now days. . it times out and will not let you read all the threads before you get the sorry message. . any way to get a longer search response timmer

I sent a message about that several months ago to the "staff" but never got a reply.

It is a 15 minute timeout which is the same as what marks all of the posts as being read. As long as you have refreshed a page within that 15 minute time period it shouldn't time out on you. If you sit there reading one thread for more than 15 minutes or walk away from the screen is when it will time out. You should be able to just click refresh however and keep it current.
