I'm ready to install my new MBRP full exhaust system to replace the rusted out original on my 02 NV5600.
I figuered nows the time to install the EB as everything will be off.
I'm leaning toward the BD brake as it looks pretty straight forward and has a shift lever mounted switch.
Anyone have a BD and how do you like it?
Any other recommendations are greatly appreciated.

I have the BD exhaust brake as you describe on my 02. It has performed flawlessly and has aided in engine warm up on cold days.
Replaced first set of brakes at 205,000 miles. Not due to pad wear but due to rusty conditions that became evident after 14 years spent in snowy climates complete with the joys of salt (or the like) type products on road surfaces.

If you ever plan on replacing the turbo with a different model, then you might think about a inline one vs a turbo mounted one. Chris

I installed the Jacobs/Mopar exhaust brake on my former '01 and really liked it. It's the only brake that I've used on a 2nd gen so I have no comparison, but it did well for me over the years.

I agree on the inline mount turbo. I had a turbo mount eb on my 99 then I upgraded the turbo so now i have turbo mount eb setting in a box on the shelf and pac brake inline mount on the truck.the turbo mount was also a pac brake and have never had any problems with either one. Francis

I have a PacBrake on my '02 and have had a similar experience with brake pad wear (first change at 215,000 miles with lots of pad left). I now have a total of 335,000 miles on this exhaust brake - 70,000 from my previous '99, and 265,000 on my current '02. I have replace the vacuum cylinder twice, but other than that it has performed flawlessly.

From the previous posts it sounds like all the brands are quality.
