Ok,
Just got my DiProcol Optix Boost and EGT Gauges from Diesel Performance Parts. I am replacing a previous set of gauges, so the manifold is already drilled and tapped along with the intake.
I have the harness kits for the gauges, but my question is as follows. Which wire behind the light switch is the one that is "Hot" only when the lights are on? On my current gauges, they are tapped into the dimmer wire and I will not be using this connection on the optix gauges because the DiProcol harnesses have individual dimmers for each gauge.
So, what wire is correct to tap into? I think the dimmer wire is the orange with the white tracer. But I need the + non-dimmer wire.
I will be getting into the project soon, so thanks in advance for suggestions and answers. This TDR is addictive.
By the way, The Diesel Performance Parts gang is great to work with. Their customer service is top notch.
