Not sure how you would "exactly" count the off turns or on turns. With a crush sleeve adjusted pinion axle you just make sure you don't crush it beyond the original setting, when you change a seal or whatever.

Nick

you have to do it by hand, with a breaker bar. its not an exact method, but it gets you as close as you can to original

much snow, about all most of us can do to test anti freeze is use a refractometer to measure its freeze point. I suppose you could use test strips to measure its PH but to be honest color doesn't matter. that just dye factories use when making the stuff.

Pink is one type, purple is the other (OAT) and what the factory fill is. So they can arbitrarily decide to use whatever oils and other lubes in the vehicle too?...

Should be able to with this OEM requirement. One is extended life, and what I would keep in it, the other is just long life. I ALSO was not involved in the decision to mix these products. What tack would you take if it was just Prestone yellow after knowing it had the proper coolant prior to the work? Same deal really.....

for the most part Prestone Coolants are compatible with just about any other coolant.
only real worry with coolant is that it will protect aluminum or that it isn't compatible and will react with certain types, and for the most part all of the common brands are plug and play..

I'm one who isn't all that concerned about Chryslers esoteric cooling system requirement.
aint like my truck has much of a warranty left on it anyway.

OP, I had a similar issue with my 2016 back in January. Fortunately, I had a good dealership and Customer Care agent. Replaced the rear end. Unfortunately, parts were on backorder, so I was without my truck for a month. But they did put me into a rental. My howling/whining noise started around 60 mph. The dealership told me that there have been a rash of bad rear ends on the HDs. Glad you're back on the road.

Unfortunately the howl came back in 75 miles so I took it back to the dealership and dumped it. Love the Cummins, hate the Ram engineers/assembly line who built the piece of crap around it for this particular truck. I took a bath and traded it on a 1500 Longhorn Southfork Edition which has been flawless. Granted, it’s a Hemi but at least it’s a proven engine with few flaws unlike the Ecodiesel which the dealer was pushing hard.

However, my other 2017 Ram 2500 Cummins is running perfectly with no issues so I guess mine was a late Friday build...just wish we could get consistent quality from Ram.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear this. However, I know very well what it is like to have a vehicle that is so frustrating that you just need to be out from under it.

Best of luck with the 2019 Ram.
