I was reading on F1 web page about the CR motors with advanced injection timing having some issues with stock spray angle. Apparently, the flame burns in less than ideal location related to the piston bowl with advanced timing. Is there any truth to this or is this just a sales pitch? When I'm ready to void my warranty on the '06, I want to make the motor run "right". That is, fix the retarded injection and valve timing for an efficient engine. I was wondering how important a good set of injector are for this equation. I thought the stock 600 injectors where pretty good.

Look at a piston at top dead center and then back the crank up 30*or a few more. Not much differance. The 04. 5 and up pistons have a very large bowl.

The stock 04. 5 injectors will flow more fuel than the stock cp3 can deliever.

at the expense of duration, which equals net retarded timing. but your stock ones should work fine.

You are right.

When you install a Stage I cp3 you have to turn the duration back a bit.
