What is the recommended milage for changing the timing chain in my 99 24V 2500. My manual only shows recommended service to 150,000 miles and there is no mention of the timing chain. Any tips on what to look out for when rplacing it would be appreciated.
Um..... Do you have a timing chain? Unless you have some custom setup, you don't have one. Cam timing is Gear on Gear. very reliable - no maintenance required. P.
Geno's Garage has factory manuals , book & cd , if your going to own work on any thing , the factory manual is the way to go , the only thing better is for trans , the pro after market keeps on top of upgrades .
I bet you looked at the 5. 9L magnum V8, not the 5. 9L Cummins info. My Chilton's manual sucks for these trucks, i really need to get some better books... .
