Little known fact..... When in a hurry and your trying to time your CTD using an inductive pickup and pop the gear loose... turn the engine over... . about the ammount you need... . hope the pump doesn't turn back... . bolt it back on and start... ...



A CTD will run but not idle with the timing set 60 degrees BEFORE TDC. :--) OOPS! Needless to say... the "quick easy way" turned into the normal dial indicator time consuming way.





I know I know... just do it right the first time..... but I just HAD to try!

Nice..... had one of those..... slip the timing deals one time..... how about half a round.



If you want to you can pin the pump then turn it back and snug it down then un-pin the pump, tighten all the way then check it with a light for accuracy.
