Someone "cleaned up" the contents of my computer, and deleted the Cummins part number for the gasket and seal needed when pulling the timing gear cover to block the dowel pin. Does anyone have that information handy?

Thx.

Matt,

This is what I have on file for the 96 CTD. Parts are from Cummins

Gasket #3918673

Seal Kit #3804899

Have not had the washer tab fix done on mine yet so can't confirm the #'s are really correct. I'm sure if you call Cummin's, they can confirm the #'s or at least have a cross ref.

Hope this is of some help.

seal and gasket numbers

Hey bud, I bought thes items yesterday at cummins.

gasket 3918673 $18. 65

oil seal 3804899 $25. 63

Hope it helps, by the way, the distance of 1 inch from the end of the tab to the center of the hole is critical. I used some 3\4 wide by 1 3\8" stainless by . 030 that I found at the hardware store. From the center of the hole to the long end taper both sides to a point with a 9\16 width on the long end. By center of hole i mean a reference point to start the taper on the outside edge. It fit pertect. Hope it helps. Tim
