Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) timing problem

Would like to find someone around the North Texas area that can check the timing and if needed reset it? I checked with the dealer and the didn't want to set the timing higher than stock. Would like to meet up with someone that could help me fine tune my truck... there is so much to learn about these trucks. Would be willing to compensate for someones time and expertise? Please help me get me truck running like it should.
