Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) timing question

Ok, I have a 96 auto engine and have put a 215hp 913 pump on it, I'm setting the timing to 16. 5 degrees, on the chart off piers website, for a 215hp pump it calculates out to 5. 7mm of plunger lift. My question is, is the plunger lift based on the pump or is it based on the engine.

Don't think it has anything to do with the engine. Have been wrong before too.

For the 215 HP pump, 5. 61 mm = 16. 5 degrees. Timing lift specifications depend on the pump, not the engine.

Joe, how much lift for a 97 180 pump to get 16 degrees?

4. 77 mm plunger lift = 16 degrees with the 180 HP pump



I got the 1990 in mid-January. Nice to hear that old tractor engine sound.
