i have a complete snap-on timing set, minus the pump nut socket (getting one this week) and i would be intrested in coming up and helping you out. the wife gripes all the time about me buying over $2000 worth of tools and not useing them much :-{} . pm me if your intrested. busy this week but sompthing could work out.

Hey guys I'm up here in houghton Lake I need to check my timing and maybe move it a little I'd be willing to pay. Might be kind of fun. Mt pleasent is not that far.

oooh oooh closer to the snow!! Oo. im bringin my new sled :D looks like my ol lady will be spending more time in the casino than i think. :{ lol

the kit i got is the

CUMDS12V

i also got the

valve adjusting tool V22A

socket for the tool TWM14A

mines a cummins service kit.

the timing kit is SP500

theres other tools i have for it too like a dial caliper, wrenches, and other things. i would not recomend buying the service kit, a lot of money and you dont use it much. the timing kit is only a couple hundred dollars but still isnt cheap. if you have a snap-on book my kits on pg 339. i did get a few wrong parts with mine and was not happy but i cant do anything about it now. theres all sorts of wrenches in it that ya wont use much.

matt

Just ordered my kit today. I saw the cumd12v was full of **** i'll never use. i just bought the timing kit, and barring tool.

Thanks for the info

Curtis

yes it is full of stuff you wont use, but if you ever need the stuff i have it. i think all my next tools will be miller though. snap-on is just way to overpriced. good luck with them.

No I don't live in Michigan But I'd be willing to drive for a timing job owell but It sounded good. Maby I could find anybody who got something like a getten together down herer close to georgia owell what do I need agiain injectors and a west bend clutch and a 3k kit right alright I'll work on that peace out :D

I live in georgia sosrry forgot. I saw a 1995 auto 12 valve sigle cab long bed 4x4 for 6,000 good deal only 256. 000

Before Dodge put the Cummins in these trucks you would have never seen an ad that said "ONLY 256,000 miles" you have to love it. :D

I figure my motor can drag whats left of my Dodge for at least another 100k or so

party up north

Sorry guys I haven't had time to get back with anyone yet. My girlfriend and I just had our first child 7 weeks premature. Things are finally getting back to normal and The little one is doing good. I'm up for anything and any place Deffinatly need to get out of ther house. If our new shop was done, (Thanks to Markey Township :-{} )I would invite everyone here. J schafer Thurs sounds good to me though.

a west bend clutch huh :-laf probably a bit cheaper than a south bend eh.

you have to be pretty worried about your timing to drive all the way up here for it. a local shop could probably do it for about $80.

congrats on the baby! ;) i know what ya mean by wanting to get out of the house. bet its a tiny little thing.

my truck had better drag itself around for a lot longer than 100,000 miles after all this trans work :-{} got the whole transmission and tcase ouit and laying on the ground and ready for the new one. im not going with manual because i cant get parts for another 2weeks for it and i need it soon so i will be going back to a auto (gripe gripe gripe) should be done to bring up north with me next week though.
