How do you agjust you timing. Not familliar with it at all so i kinda need detatils. Also where would be the best place to put it at, i have a hx40 turbo,#4 fuel plate,4000 gsk, and springs in the afc, plus 60lb intake/exhaust springs. I am going for around 700 hp so i need to know where would be a good place to set timming, and any tips for my pump to get that kind of hp. Thanks.

can i adjust it with the pump off.

Basically when you are setting timing you are disconnecting the pump from the driving gear, rotating the driving gear a couple degrees and after a proper cleaning putting the pump back onto the gear.

Timing is not adjusted inside the pump or by moving the pump. Timing is acchieved by setting the pump where you want timing to be (by using the plunger lift). Poping the driving gear from the pump, then resetting the engine to TDC.
