Tipm module?

Newbie here. What the heck is a TIPM module? I am planning on adding some electrical items and it was mentioned that you cant splice into any power wire without affecting this TIPM thing and I dont want to pay for a new one as they are quite expensive. So... . how do I go about adding powered accessories like extra lights or CB radios etc?? Thanks in advance of any replys.

Tottaly Inegrated Power Module.

Just grab your power from the battery instead of the tipm which can be overloaded by any extra current loads

Thanks. Not feeling so dumb now . Did some more research. Apparently this TIPM senses changes in current and resistance loads and tolerates only so many incidents and then shuts down as for what reason? I can't figure that one out yet. Will buy some spade lug power take off's that attach to battery post clamp and take your advise. Thanks again. MAJ D
