Tips for a new 2018 4500 owner

Hello All,
My 18 4500 with service body is gonna land this week. Any tips? I’m super grateful

I'm in my second C&C; 2017 5500. Nothing special I can think of to do. I added 60 gal aux fuel tank with 1/2 inch gravity feed to primary tank. 112 gal total. Manual or auto? color and type bed? What you gonna use it for?

Drive it and maintain it by the book. Run the DEF tank down as low as possible (until you get the low DEF message) and refill completely with bulk DEF from the pump.

Since I’ve already extinguished my warranty in less than 10 months, I’ve been through every service routine that is listed, except running the valves.

I’m out here on the coast of NC landscaping.
Having a knapheide 6series body put on.
Automatic trans.

Copy Appleseed. I use mine to tow my 22K lb fifth wheel, 14 ft dump trailer, and 20 ft enclosed car hauler.

Is this your first Ram Cummins?

There is a lot of room for adjustment on this linkage... it's not precise. Because of those pesky rubber grommets and being type wanting everything from 2H to 4L more or less centered. I'm no expert, but I think this problem is related to something else, IMHO.

I remember so over/under drive units having problems destroying them when coasting under load.

Anyway, I'll keep watching this.
