I got my e-brake today :) , I ordered the optional shifter mounted switch. Way cool looking. Any hint from folks that are DIYs for the electrical connections? I'm thinking about omitting the dash switch altogether.

Just installed mine a few weeks ago. Its not too bad. The biggest pain for me was drilling out the foot pedal. getting the drill in there.

Also after i got the foot switch adjusted right i epoxied things in place. it can still be cracked if it needs adjustment in the future.

Just dont hurry things.

Thanks for the input. Where did you get the ignition source for the ON/OFF switch?

Actually I used the wire that powers my trailer brake controller. Mot sure which one it is since that was installed by the trailer dealer.

I'm not happy using the same wire for both brake systems because it gives a single point of failure for both. Will change it when I get a chance. .

Sure the guys will come up w/ a good hot wire for ya.

I thought the same thing reference to the dash switch. So I "deleted it". My shifter switch is now basically the on/off switch.
