2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission tire advice :Yokohama Geolandar A/T Plus II

I am thinking of picking up a set of Yokohama Geolandar A/T Plus II in stock size for my 3500.





has anyone tried these???

Geolandar A/T

Had a set of these tire on my dad's '99. Stock size tire for a '99. These were great tires!!!!! I liked them better than the BFG's that we had before that. Tires had great mud grip, we farm and it would still pull a loaded gravity wagon out of a wet field when there were "wore out" (350bu)(4X4 of corse). Quiet on the road, wore flat (not cupping) and wore for a good amount of time... not really sure how long... we lost track when I totaled one truck and we switch them to the other. Stupid women drives don't know what a stop sign is #@$%! Geolandar's are what I am going to put on my truck (01) as soon as I wear out these crap Michilen's.

Had a set on my 99 2500 but they cupped bad on the front. HOWEVER, it was probably operator error as I never really rotated them. Once I did they improved.



Really liked them, good traction, quiet and no other issues. Ran 285's.

I have had mine for 40,000 miles. They lasted as long as the warranty for them did. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I used counteract when I mounted them. I would highly reccomend this combination. They are quiet, grip good, and wear well. The downside to the tires, at least mine, is that they weren't available in LR "E". I had to get the "D" rating and that made the ride a bit squishy. It was also more difficult to tow. Sway was more problematic. Not really bad, mind you. My neighbor has a set on his Ram, and likes them also.

Get these tires for your truck. You won't be disappointed.

Had them!

They were good tires. Very limited sizes in load range E.

Only lasted the 40,000 mile.

Did great in snow.

Got the REVOS now, because they come in a E - 265/75/16.

I just bought a set in 285x75R16. Great tires. Smooth quiet ride in an AT.

the 285 is a load range D but the tire is rated for 3500 lbs.

My 265x75R16 were load range E and were only good for 2900 lbs.



the 285 is taller, on sale nation wide for $130 ea. and a 8 plyradial that smooths the ride on my truck considerably.

I have a set of Geolander AT +II's on my '95 Yukon TD in the 265/75x16D size. They are quiet considering how aggressive the tread is. I had them siped and they have unbelievable traction in the wet but they do have some sidewall sway. They seem to be wearing ok. It's 50/50 if I would buy them again; price would be a heavy factor in their favor.

i have had them for 8-9 months now on my 96. they give great traction. the only downside was that i had to drop to a d rateing. but on a high note the previous tires were a e rateing of around 3,000 pound capacity and these have about the same load rateing. i am maybe loosing a 200 pound load capacity, which is nothing when your talking thousands of pounds. i rotate them with every oil change which is every 5000 miles. the top of tire stays nice and flat no rounding off like my previous michelins
