Tires Again

I know there are a million tire threads, but I searched and did not find a poll. So I thought I would try one...

Sorry if I missed a tire, I tried to put up all of the ones that I saw the most.

I have 33,000 on my stock Michellins and there is 60% of tread left. All pulling a 12,000 fifth wheel. The key, rotation and inflation. :-laf

The last time it rained, I found a DEEP water hole. Deep enough that i couldn't open the doors. The ruts under the water are almost deep enough for me to high center on the pumpkins.

I have 35*1250*17 Toyo OC MT's. I tried for 20 minutes to get my truck stuck enough to use 4x4. I would get the back tires spinning and dig a hole with them. still just crawled out. I never did get it stuck stuck. Usually on the first rock i could get it free.

I didn't see Coopers mentioned. I'm happy thus far with the Cooper STs in the 265/70/17LT "E" size. Then again I've only got about 1500 miles on them.

The best tires for what? You list M&S tires with MT tires and include AT tires as well. There are really big differences in these tires. If you tried JApol's trick with Michelin LTX M&S tires, you would be stuck in a big hurry.

The LTX M&S is tough to beat if you do mostly road driving. They are not cheap but they last a looooong time. I live in CO and have to contend with deep snow all winter. I run the BFG AT KO because in addition to being a decnt AT tire it is also rated for snow(much better than a regular M&S).

When you get into the dually's the choices arew really slim. I hated the Goodyear GS-A's that came on the truck. I tried some generals, not much better and now have a set of Cooper ATR's on that truck. So far so good.

If you tell us what you want to do with the truck, the guys here can offer better suggestions I am sure.
