Just ignore the TPMS and set the tire pressure according to Firestone weight chart. My 2014 rides quite well. UNLESS I set the tire pressure according to the idiots that specified the pressure at max for the tires, ignoring the fact that they would be overinflated with no load!

I am considering fileing a complaint with the NTSB as I see overinflation as a safety hazard!

Not sure how I manged it but it can be changed. I had the dealer here in altus do it dropped the truck off for a faulty seat heater and asked them to change the tire pressure in the back tires to 65 all set now. I'll drop the tire pressures down tomorrow and get a pic of the "inflate rear to 65psi" for ya all to show your dealer that it can be done. I think 65 is as low as they can move it which should set it as 65 with a threshold for the light at 50
 
On my 2015 2500 I found no option to change the TPMS. I started with 60 front & back and the alarm was on. I bumped up the back to 80 and of course the alarm went off. I have not had time to lower backs to see what the lower limit really is. Dealer thought there was a light load setting but could not find it. This was the first 2015 he saw.

Agreed! Weighing my rigs (trailers too) and setting appropriate psi for the load has been the method I've used for about 21 years. It is the only proper way in my opinion and also keeps tabs on gross combined weight.

When I felt the needlessly firm ride back in June, then discovered the full psi ridiculousness on my '14 2500, I eliminated the TPMS sensors when I mounted a set of new/traction tires at 1,000 miles. I've grown accustomed to a constant (not flashing) TPMS light on other trucks for similar reasons, and will likely never run the sensors again in this truck. I'll save them for the next owner several years from now (kept my last diesel 18 years).

I have a 14 2500 with a 5.7. Been following your post since I got mine waiting to finally get some good news I hate that blinking on start up. I have mine set to 50 front (will drop it after the Vplow comes off)and 45 rear. This has been a night and day difference from 80lbs. Wish they would make an adjustable monitoring system we could program right on the dash accordingly to the load we are carrying.

But they won't because when you have a load you might forget to change it and also forget to air up and you might have a blowout. They have to protect and coddle and baby you so you don't get hurt. Don't you feel all that love flowing from your TPMS system?

Pretend you are a teenager. Your parents say 65/80 psi all the time. You say that's stupid. You defy their warning. Your defiance stares you in the face from the EVIC as you drive. You are a rebel. The warning light and message(s) are your badge of honor.

Or simply get used to it. You can't fix it so ignore it and move on. I got used to it pretty quickly.

I just got my 2015, and then almost immediately went out of town on business so forgive me for not reading through the manual yet. Are you suggesting we're stuck with whatever pressure these things are set at the factory? I know on my Toyota there's a button under the dash which can be held when you power the car up and it sets the "current" pressure...then the light comes on only when you get 20% below whatever that pressure is. Do our trucks not have "a button" like this? I only have 120 miles on mine so far and hadn't thought about the pressure sensors (yet). :)
 
The dealer can change the pressure but it will still give you a low tire warning. The rear can be set to as low as 64 before it goes off. The front is 48. It is federally regulated now so they aren't supposed to be changed. Hope this helps.
 
Just had the Cummins forum procedure done at Carson City Dodge in Nevada. They had tried before and could not get the warning light to go out. Gave them a copy of the post and it worked perfectly.
