I've had dick cepek fun country 2 for almost 5 years on my gen one about 50000 miles from them and they still have some tread left just put them on my 98.

The best advice is to run what has worked for you in the past. Everyones usage and maintenance will dictate how long a set of tires lasts so its hard to get unbiased opinions sometimes. Personally the 2 most well balanced sets of tires in terms of traction/longevity I've had on my truck have been GoodYears (Silent Armor and Duratrac) yet the general consensus around here is GoodYear are junk. The local shop here told me they are having a sale on Nitto's coming up next week so I'm going to try a set of Terra Grapplers out. Or maybe the Dura Grapplers, I can't make my mind up which. I would prefer to stick with more of an A/T but I am off the beaten path alot and miss my Duratracs ALOT. I would go back to GoodYear in a heartbeat but they don't carry the size I want. (285/75/17)

Is the Toyo brand still the preferred source, here. Their ATII looks very good for my uses. Any others with equal mileage expectations?

I have and LOVE my Goodyear Duratracs but I need the offroad and snow/ice traction. Been a great tire for my dually that carries a heavy truck camper and tows.

Do you just need a highway tire or offroad traction? If I was just wanting a HWY tires I'd be looking at the Toyo AT11 or Michilin or the new Goodyear all terrain

Several of my customers are running the Toyo AT2 and love them. I'm personally using a MT tire, but if my truck was a commuter I would run the Toyos for sure. Lots of other great tires out there, I just really like those.
My truck had Nitto Terra Grapplers on it when I bought it and they towed fine and did fine on the pavement, but I've never been so disappointed in a tire in the dirt or wet grass.

i purchased a set of Cooper AT3's. So far I am impressed. Great ride and good handling. Not many miles on them yet.
