The psi issue has been a legal requirement for a while. Personally I wouldn't run a tire that only held 50psi on a 3/4 or 1 ton pickup anyhow! Its just now starting to be enforced. I ran into this a year ago shopping for tires up here. . But if you show the shop the load rating is the same they will sell it to you, and its legal (at least they would), but even some of the D's are 65 psi @3195, and thats still not enough air IMHO.
 
This is what I like about my Toyo's. 3,970 lbs at 80 psi (if needed). I normally run them at 55 front/50 rear. That seems to provide best wear. I pressure up when towing or hauling.
