Have had good luck with BFG A/T's. Have gone 60k miles easily on them the only thing I dont like about them is they fling rocks on your paint, and they seem to really lose traction bad in the rain. .

Have had my best luck with Dunlop Mud Rovers. Never had one fail and average about 50k miles on them. Not bad for an aggressive mud tread. Not very noisy on the road, and traction is excellent almost everywhere. Think I lost a mile per gallon with them though.

My next tires will be one of the above. Probably the BFG A/T (maybe : )

As far as types, the LTX is good, but, it depends on what you do with truck that dictates "what" tire you put on the truck. As far as an increase in size, i cannot tell you because i have a 2500, but, here is the formula that will help---tire width (235)xsection width (. 85)x2/25. 4. To get tire height---- tire width (235)/25. 4
