Hello

My Goodyear 305 70 16 are in need of replacement after 18,000.

I am looking at the Toyo 305 70 16. Can someone tell me the difference in width from a 295 to a 305. And has anyone come across any good deals recently on tires that they can tell me about. Also for confirmation, my 98 stock wheel size is 6"wide correct??

Thanks

The 305 and 295 are the section width in millimeters. The tread width will be a little narrower than the section width. So, the 305 is 1 centimeter (10 millimeters or 0. 39 inches) wider than the 295. The 70 or 75 is the aspect ratio in percentage. If you have a 305 70 r16, multiply . 7 times 305 to get the distance from the tread to the wheel edge (sidewall height). If you have a 295 75 r16, multiply . 75 times the 295 to get sidewall height. I wonder why Pmetric sizing mixes inches for the rim and millimeters for the width??

I think your steel rim size is 6. 5".

Procomp tires are buy 3, get 1 free right now, but they are priced $191 for a 315 75 r16. That's about $30 per tire on the spendy side. I think a 315 should cost about 160-165?

2000 was the first year of the 16x8 Alloy wheels. They will not fit a 1998 without modifications to the truck. The 2003 17x8 should fit fine.
