Tire fitment question 911.

I have a quick question on what I was told at the 4 Wheel Parts store I went to today. I was looking at getting some Toyo MT's in the 35-12. 50-17 size, and I was told that I would have to pay an additional $80 to let them cut on my truck in order to let the new tires not rubbing at full lock. I have a leveling kit and will have new wheels that are 17x9 with 5. 73 backspacing. I shouldn't have to cut my truck should I? I currently run 315/70/17 BFG AT's with no rubbing. Any feed back? Thanks

If I remember right my H2 wheels are 8. 5" wide and have a 5. 5" backspacing and they clear just fine.



Tell them to F off. don't let them cut on your truck

Should fit no problem. If they rub, it will be barely.

Thats what I figured. The guy kept telling me that there will be tire rub on any 35" tire. I told him I am running then right now with no rub and he kept telling me they need to cut my truck. I felt like telling then to GTH right there, but thought better. Anyone else running this type of combo, comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys.

Mine rub the control arms slightly. I'd like too have them to notch those out so I can file a law suit.

They are probably talking about trimming the front plastic air dam, something that takes about two minutes!

They said they would notch out the inner fender wells where the tire would rub. They would cut the metal and then fold it up so they say. They say they do it all the time. I don't think I will.

I was running the Toyo MT 35s on stock aluminum wheels and stock suspension. They will rub the control arms just barely at full lock. I do think that they rub the inner fender at full lock and compression, again just a bit.
