I got a lead on a Coats 2020 tire machine for my Garage. This is the older style that you sit the rim on top of the machine over a shaft and tighten down a nut on this shaft to hold the tire. then the tire is unbeaded by a shoe that comes up from the bottom and one you place on top of the tire. This is the machine that was known for breaking the centers out of the Cragar Mags
Will the Modern Alunimum rims on our trucks be safe to use on this type older machine? I have used this style for 14 years (until I switched work fields) and never did break a rim, but I never put Cragars on them either.
