New Tires, now truck wanders

Camp grounds around Minneapolis

Boy did I ever mess up, I posted this in the lst gen area somehow:

It looks like we will head out this weekend for a two month cruise or so with my new to me 35ft fifth wheel RV.

The trailer will weigh around 13K I guess, and it will be a ways until I can get to a scale to see just how this weight is distributed. What I would like is someone with this type rig to give me some ball park figures on initial truck tire pressures. I can adjust later when I find a good scale.

I am not after max load pressures or such, and I can find out the proper inflation from the manufacturers data when I get some axle weights, I am just asking for someone who has already made the calculations for a similar loaded dually and fifth wheel.

Don

I run 65-70 psi in the fronts and 50-55 in the duals. Also I run the maximum tire pressure in the 5er... ST tires@65psi, LT tires @80psi. Also note st tires have a maximum speed of 65mph! BTW my weights are frt. axle=4300, rr. axle=6150 ,trailer axles=9800lb.

Thank you George, that was precisely what I was looking for, thanks. I will soon fine what my weights actually are and adjust accordingly.
