Got a Question for those who pull campers is it possible to add the TPM readings from my 5th wheel on the EVIC TPM for the truck.

You would have to contact RAM about that. Maybe if enough people requested it, they could reprogram the EVIC to accept and display additional tire pressures. Maybe as part of their towing package. I had a tpms for the 5th wheel but gave it up when the batteries in the senders started to expire. Too many false alarms made them less than useful.

It is possible for sure, but it would require a total reprogram of any older trucks to allow the addition of tires beyond what the truck was set for. I just don't see it happening except for possibly a Mopar accessory. And it would have to have a new body controller and the additional sensors. It would also need a way to identify the sensor locations beyond the existing truck sensors.
FYI the new systems identify the wheel location by the direction of rotation and signal strength. Each tire sensor has a chip that broadcasts direction of rotation. The right side tires rotate clockwise, the left side counter clockwise. If the WCM antenna is located in the dash on the left side, it will ID the LF tire by CCW rotation with strong signal, RF by CW rotation and strong signal, RR by CW rotation and weak signal, and LR by CCW rotation and weak signal. It would need some way to determine location of the trailer tires by lesser signal strength. Not sure that is easily done.

How does it distinguish between dual rear wheels?

Are you sure the different tires are not b identified by sensor ID? Typically with these systems you have to tell each sensor where it's location is with a learning tool... maybe this system is different?

This system doesn't require the learning tool. But you have to be very careful to get the right sensor/sender. They don't all use the same frequency. And not all sensors send the same info.

According to Dodge there is no available way to add tpm units to a towable and use the factory tpm system.

YET!

There has been discussion about it on the forum though. I guess Ram will wait for Ford to come out with it first as usual!

Yup, I watched a review of the new Ford and it has it. What a surprise. I like all the cameras too. Seems to me that Ford couldn't up the ante on actual performance, so they added a whole bunch of electronics for marketing propaganda purposes. All the cameras are awesome though.

I'd like to preprogrammed the system to stop warnin me of low pressure when the truck is empty with no load and it still wants me to put 80 psi in the rear tires.

I need new sensors for four used wheels. I've seen sensors for sale that are supposed to work on a 2013 Ram, prices vary from $40 for four up to $80 each! What do I look for?

Depends if you have dual mode (light load/heavy load) TPMS?

Even then, I would be cautious about giving you a part number. Because i think they used more than one model in 2013.

I bought some and asked the tire guy to install them. He refused because he said he only installs them when he makes a profit on the part and also makes money on the install. So check with your tire guy first.

Needless ro say, i'm looking for a new tire guy
