I just got some new Michelin tires. They are load range E, 265 75r16 on alcoa wheels. I run this truck empty 95% of the time. What pressure do I need to run front and back to get the best tread live on these tires. I understand I will air them when I tow my travel trailer. I have 50 in the back tires and 60 in the front now. I am thinking I might need to run less pressure in the rear tires than I am now empty. What about it?

That's what I run in the rear and I run 65 in the front. I notice that The outer 1/2 inch on the rears don't wear much running 50 and I don't see excessive wear in the middle at 32K miles.

I run empty same as you and have 45 front and 40 rear. In your owner information booklets that came with the truck, there is a booklet that gives various tire pressures. As I recall, the empty pressure is what I run. I have no unusual tire wear.

My outer edges were wearing faster than the middle. I run empty 99% of the time so I am now running 65 in front and 55 in the rear. After driving through some dirt and stopping on concrete or asphalt there is little or no dirt on the rear edges and only a small amount on the front edges. So far 23k miles and PLENTY of tread in the middle of all tires. I rotate at about 6k.

55 front, 45 rear for me. The front sidewalls seem to bulge a little bit sometimes, but there haven't been any wear issues in the last 23K miles.
