What kinda of tires do you 2500 guys run and what tire pressure? A guy at a tire dealer told me to run 60 in the front and 50 in the back PSI that is? MAx on the tires is 80

Those are a good recomendation to start with but I would see how the tire is wearing and then adjust. The pressure needs to be adjusted with the amount of weight you carry.

For instance: Unloaded on my 3500 I run with 58psi on the front and 40psi on the rears. If I load a couple of yards of wet sand I would change to 70psi front and 80psi rear.

I check the wear pattern on the tires before I rotate them and adjust accordingly. What you want to achive is the same amount of wear across the tread face. If it wears too much in the middle you are too high in psi and if you are wearing on the sholders you are too low in psi. It may take you a couple of rotations to get there.

When in doubt it is better to be too high than too low. Too low can cause blow outs: remember the Ford Explorer issue.

My truck is normally at about 7200 pounds. I run 70 in front and 55 in the rear. I find that too little pressure in the front starts to encourage front end pull. I adjust the pressure by feeling the tires. If they are warm in the center compared to the edges, the pressure is too high. If they are warm on the edges compared to the center the pressure is too low. Keep an eye as the seasons change too, you will need ot adjust. I have run three different kinds of tires and they all liked slightly different pressures. Just experiment a little.
