Tire questions

Will BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A's in 295/75R16 fit in the stock spare location? What about 315/75R16?

If not, where are you putting them?



Anyone have pictures of trucks with these sizes? TIA

I've just put a set of bfg ta/ko 285/75/16's on my truck two weeks ago. The spare JUST fits. It took so manuvering to get it in place.



It comes very close to the diver's side shock and the stock exhaust on the passanger side.

tire problems

I am running the same bfg"s on my 99 and it shakes like hell!It is not the fault of the tires but the crap that they gave us for rims!! After 3 sets of tires and a pail of weights I found that 4 rims are bent . It also took 2 trips to the rim shop and alot of my time and others to find this out!100+miles away!Do it right and check the run-out on the rims before you blame the tires. this is my 6'th set and never a bad one yet!My rims are 6. 5-16 chrome factory crap!I tried aluminum rims of a 2001 and no fit due to the fins on the rear brake-drums. The 2001 has a smooth drum. I cannot find what i want with the same ofset !Good Luck!

will the BFG Mud Terrain fit on our stock rim's in the 295-85-16 size? TIA... james

295/75R16 on 16X6.5 rim

Ramhead 3437:

I think you mean 295/75, since BFG doesn't show a 295/85. In either case, no. According to BFG's tire spec's, 295's must be mounted on a rim at least 7. 5 wide.



However, I had excellent results using Dunlops in 255/85R16 when I had the '95 with that size rim. I wore the centers a little faster than the outsides but not too bad.
