I usually run a General tire with some aggresive tread Helps me get around the places I have to go. I have tried michlins with a discovery that I can buy two sets for the cost of one mich and get more miles out of the cheaper sets. so I dont worry about the Better tires for my usage. I run them all to 70 psi. seems to work best for me. I will say the generals are pretty tough. Gravel is hard on tires anyway and I get in some rough road areas pulling a load so I do get some spin. and I have not experienced the Big hunks tore out on the gens like some of the other brands I have ran Mich included. Hope this helps someone.

pathaymond: Ever run on pure ice or hard pack snow with those generals?? The michelins seem to be soft enough to stick pretty good to slick ice. I got talked into a set of firestones that wore great on the powerstroke I had before the cummins, but those were too slick on ice and hardpack. Not much ice in Georgia, I would think

monkfarm. No we dont have alot of ice here and when we do I do not leave the house. to many drivers play in the stuff here and I am unwilling to join them. I have heard the stones are a good tire also but I will stick to the Generals as they are easy for me to get my hands on. good luck on the ice. I am a transplanted newyorker so I know what thats stuff is about. the things we used to drive in or on now scare me to death all in what you are used to HUH. Take care

The Goodyears on my truck had obvious wear by 12,000. The fronts had both outside shoulders with some wear and the rears were wearing in the center section. At 23,000, just before I was going to rotate again, I cut a sidewall on the RF and put a set of Toyos on the steer axle, putting four more on the rear in a few weeks. Rotation was needed for my truck / Goodyear tire package, the jury is still out on the Toyos.
