I remember see some posts a while back with some members complaining about vibrations at about 40 MPH and higher speed. The day I test drove my truck I felt this tire problem and told the sales person about it. He said no problem the dealer will fix it. So a week later I took it to the dealer and told them what the problem is and they argued that all they could do is try to rebalance because they don't warrant tires. I waited half the day, picked it up. They had not even taken the hub caps off. They told me that they re balanced the tires. No vibration when they test drove it. What really made me mad is some one took my truck to lunch and even left a hotdog wrapper on the seat. This dealer will never see my business again. So I take it to my local dealer here in Santa Fe and they rebalance the tires and say the the other dealer did nothing. But the vibration is still there. The balance tech give it about 2000 miles to break in the tires. Also we don't warrant tires. I am not going to wait for 2000 miles. I go to a local Michelin tire dealer and they rotate the tires on the rims and rebalance. Still vibrates. Even worse. So they order 8 new tires. When they came in I went to have them installed but they needed authorization for warranty replacement. So Michelin wants milage, year, model. Michelin is aware of this problem and says when dodge bakes on the paint it is on the tires that the truck is sold with. The heat used to cure the paint is higher that the tires are rated so because Michelin uses steel belts in the side walls this excessive heat tempers the belts and the tire will never be round again.
DC should recall all these tires because these tires were damaged at the factory. I now have a new set of tires and my truck rides execllent.

Is this a new truck... like just picked it up new? If so its all under warranty. If it aint right, and they wont fix it, call a Lawyer. Period.

I had 2 new trucks that vibrated upon delivery. They replaced the tires.

This truck was new. I bought it in Albuqerque. It had 15 miles on. But the dealers would end taking it to a Michelin dealer anyhow because DC won't warrant tires. I think it sucks but I don' have the time to screw around with the dealer. I figure it is easer to take care of it my self. I hate to take my vehicals to any dealer for any repair. At least when I fix it I know it is done right.

Mark H,
I had Goodyears wrangler ATS start popping belts at 42,000. I had vibration on the back end between 40 t0 45. But it started on my first set of tires(67,000 on them). I put new tires and wheels on. I think had one bad rim on right side.
Easy way to tell if it is tires. Jack up truck put jacks under it(back only),block front wheels, have some one bring truck up to speed where you get vibration( you can use high gear for this). Observe the tires on the back, you can tell if they are out of round... mite be bad rims also.

I never heard of auto manufacturer baking on paint after they had tires on or for that matter even after vehicle was 50 percent assembled but I could be wrong.
Also I never heard of Lacquer paint being baked on. Enamel and ? (don't rember the name but when I do, will fill in) can be baked on. But a 30,000 to 35,000 truck should have lacquer on it or at least (?).
