ok, first of all i need to know whats the biggest size tire i can fit on the stock wheels. I have the big wheels and the 265 tires. I am going to change to the biggest ones i can fit on those wheels, so ill be selling my stock LTX 265 tires. They have 25 miles on them. I took them off right after i got home from the dealer. So make and offer. But more importantly i just want the size that will fit. thanks guys.

Do you have the leveler for the front end?

If so, 315/75s are nice and will not rub. If you don't have the leveler, go with 305/70s.

no everything is stock. do you have a picture of the truck with the 305/70's? I wish i did, but i dont want to spend that kind of money. as far as what i wanted for the stock tires??? 400 for all four? is that a good price? I havent priced them yet. but i will tomorrow

It's rubbing Stefan?

I've got 315's on my truck and they clear everything but the control arms at full lock (which really doesn't surprise me that much). I've got Putco SS running boards so the front flaps take away some wheelwell room-and the Sport front bumper seems to be closer to the wheel than the standard one-and I still clear even going over bumps (albeit not by much-definitely won't be much mud or ice building up on the flaps or bumper edge :D ). Sucks to hear they don't fit good on yours-I never put my 2 cents in when you were asking for opinions earlier because my experiences seemed to parallel everyone elses.

My truck has 046/039 springs up front-maybe that helps some for clearance. Suppose there's different OD's between different 315's too-that could be some of it.

I'm still gonna level mine for the looks if nothing else-although by the time I get done with springs, shocks, trackbar and maybe control arms my credit card will have another huge dent in it :p .

Sorry to hear they didn't work out so well for some of you guys.

Spring #'s!

They do have tags on them when the truck is shiny-new. I had a look the 1st or 2nd day I had it to see for sure what it had. Maybe they're still on yours... . or you could go to your dealer and get them to print out the sheet detailing every option that was put on your truck from the factory. I think they called it a "Function 5"? Dealer should know anyways. It'll be listed on there.

Apparently there are trucks with 047/046 springs on them. I was trying to get the computer to crank mine out with them-but because of the Sport package I couldn't order the snow-plow prep. Had to sneak around it by ordering as many HD options as I could. Mine has the 241HD transfer case, 4. 10 gearing with rear Trac-Loc, trailer tow, camper special, and of course the HO engine with 6 spd. transmission. Maybe if I hadn't ordered the leather the computer would have actually believed it's a work truck :D

Sorry to hear that ...

Which tires did you get ? Is your truck stock ?

I have the 285's and they DO NOT rub.

At first they were mounted on stock rims, but now they are on 16x8 Eagles.

Don't forget, if you increase tire diameter, your speedo will be off.

So back to my question, I guess 305/70's are the bigest on the stock 01 sport. Im putting the stock ones in the classifieds.

Thanks

On the same note ,looking for an answer on how large can you go with a 97-2WD- stock wheels without lifting.
