Was going to get new tires real soon. Right now I am running 265/75/16. Was wandering if anybody knows if a 305/70/16 well fit underneath there without a lift? I have 16x8 wheels. I believe that a 285/75/16 will fit underneath with no problem. Just seeing if anybody was running these sizes or had any information.

Thanks

Josh

I have 305/70/16's on my truck with the Skyjacker Softride 2 1/2" front springs and had to trim the plastic fender lip at the front of the wheel well to keep from rubbing hard when the wheel is cranked and the suspension is loaded. They still rub very rarely but I don't see how they could work with no lift at all.

83 Crew cab I talked to you down in Falmouth about a cowl induction hood. Going to get one sometime. Sweet lil ride you have. Tell how those 305's do. Do you have any lift in the front end? How many leaf springs you have. Looks like it might set up a little higher.

Thanks

Josh

What about these?

I have 265/75R-16 tires (Yokohama Geolanders HT-S) on stock seel rims and with original springs and have plenty of clearance... the tires have never rubbed.

I run 33x12. 5 on 16. 5x9. 75 wheels. 1" springs, minimal trimming of the black plastic fender flare, and the front fender lowest lip. Can't tell I trimmed anything unless you get under the truck.

No rubbing on the street; minor brush with the rear of the front fender lip when off the road with our camper loaded.

I had the 2 1/2" leafs in the front of mine and originally had 255/85 BFG MT's (33's) they would rub when turned hard and I hit a bump like going into a driveway. After I wore those out I put on 285/75 BFG AT's (almost 33's but wider than the 255's) Here is a picture of her with the 285's on.

I think the 305's might be more of a problem with rubbing because of the width, especially with no lift in the front.
