I am in need of new tires very soon. I stopped into the local Pepboys and they have a tire that looks good. It is the Dakota

LT 245/75R16, and Pepboys says the tires are made by Cooper tires. Does anyone out there run these tires. Are you happy with them? How is P-boys` service compaired to Costco? How about Winston tires? Thanks for all replies.

Jeff

I just bought a set of Michelin tires for my 98 2500 4x2 from COSTCO and am very happy with the service and the tire. While they were putting mine on, I found a COSTCO brand tire that was the same size and specification for less. You might want to check it out since COSTCO stands behind their products. Good luck in getting a tire you like. ;)

Tires are a pretty important part of overall vehicle performance, as Ford and Firestone can tell you. You can buy Michelins at Sam's Club and Costco for very reasonable prices. Why take the chance of getting inferior quality on such an important component?

John

if they are made by cooper, they cant be too bad. i have had several sets of cooper made tires and they have been great.

however the bfg m/t is my first choice.

JSmith,

I ran two sets of those in a 235/85-16 on my PSD and thought they held up very well. Got about 40k on the first set. These were a all terrain type of tread. I thought it was a pretty good deal for just under $400
