Now that I have a Smarty on the truck, I can change the tire diameter in the ECU.

My original BFGs were 31. 4" diameter, my new Bridgestones (same size) have a 31. 6" diameter.

Should I go to the trouble and change the value? Smarty can change it in 0. 1" increments.

Thanks,

Louis

When I changed my trucks from 17" to 19. 5 wheels I went to the tire vendors web sight for the REV per mile data. . I had picked a tire that was 1/2" larger in diameter than the stock 17"... Once I got the REV per mile of both tires I found the difference less than 3-4% and than later using a GPS I found that the data on the dash was more accurate with the 19. 5" than the stock tires... .

Hope the information helps. .

Difference of 0. 2" inches divided by 31. 4" = 0. 00637 (0. 637%). So, say at 70 mph difference would be 0. 446 mph (hardly noticable). Personally, I wouldn't bother.
