I think today is the last day of the sale. So I hope anyone that was planning on getting new michelins got in on it. I just got 4 new michelin LTX MS2's for $609 installed. No, wait. There is a $70 rebate, so it is actually $539 installed. That works out to less than $135 installed per tire. I dont think I can buy tires for my car for that price. Wow !!! (It would have been less if I didnt buy the tire replacement cert.

Well, I did find a spot on one of the old tires so they gave me a straight across the board trade in for that.

WOW. Is that for an E rated tire? Ive never priced Michelins but that is a great price regardless of manufacture. If I hadnt picked up a brand new set of take offs from a '12 in February, I would be running up and grabbing a set at that price. And your right, you wont find a set for your car for that price. I put a set on my Mustang last fall before I put it away because they were running a sale. Without digging up the reciept, I wanna say they ran me around $615 with tax, mounting and balancing.

WOW,,,GREAT PRICE!!!. I need a set for my 1/2 ton Ram and just checked TireRack,,,,, Michelin LTX M/S2 in 275-60-20 are $277 each, add app. $375 for road hazard and shipping and mounting and it's just under $1,500 for a stinking little 1/2 ton.

Sure wish I'd hit the sale.

Hmm, I think I would ditch the big 20s and go retro with some nice clean 2nd gen wheels :-laf

Are your tires C or D rated?

not to rain on your deal, just a heads up double check the dates on the tires... been reading lately warehouses are dumping old tires on customers. if yours are old you can catch it now and have them get fresh rubber for you. it's buyer beware more than ever on whatever we consume these days guys.

how to read tires, http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=11

how old is to old?, internet is full of chatter on it, some say 3 yrs some say 6 yrs, reason I bring this up is I need some heavy duty tires for the boat trailer and was reading up on it over the last few weeks on the boat and RV forums and guys were reporting after new tires being installed they were having issues with blow outs etc. . even with quality brands, seemed to be a trend with older new rubber, once they installed stuff made in the last 6 months no problems..... normally I would say it was overloaded or not aired right but these guys are pretty meticulous with there stuff like we are, in my reading there was lots also on car and truck tires as well. just some info to think over

Peace, B
