TJM has been making Bullbars for over 30 yrs. in Australia and used world wide. TJM Bullbars have an engineered steel mounting system. The mounting system is designed to be sacrificed before the vehicle frame is damaged. TJM crash test these Bullbars. All TJM Bullbars pass the 5mph test for OE bumpers.
I had the misfortune of having a Suburban pull out in front of me. I hit the front left fender of the Sub. going about 35 mph. The Sub. was totaled, the CTD was still running and was drivable. I have pictures in reader's rigs under the name ouch. If you look at my truck, the Bullball was not hurt to bad. The mounting system is what gave way. Because I turned just before the impact I hit with the right front and the Bullbar did bend some. The body shop was just going to straighten it out and reuse it, I talked them out of it.
The frame was not damaged. The body shop was surprised that it wasn't. They told me if I had the OE or a stout steel bumper my frame would most likely be bent and may have even totaled my truck.
So the $1,235 for the Bullbar more than paid for itself. I am passing this info on to my fellow TRD members. I am not paid by TJM products and not affiliated with them. I am just pleased with there product and service.
