I got to checking on 255's for my truck, and I found that depending on the type and brand of tire( mud, all-terrain) that they are different heights. Not much mind you but enough to make a difference. Take for example Dunlop radial rover RV -32. 7 inches tall, and the same brand and a mud tire is about a half an inch taller. I figured that if I stuck with an all-terrain tire which isn't but a very marginal inch taller it shouldnt rub much on a stock W250. I havent seen but one pic of a 1st gen with 255's so I don't know if it would really look good. what do you all think??

hey steve,

I got 255/85/16 BFG Mud Terrains on my pickup. I think they look really good except for the fact that i had 285/75/16's on it when i bought it. They are a really good tire and they go straight to the bottom and dig. Here's a pretty good picture of them except for the dirty wheels. I think the catalog said that the mud terrains were 34. 3 inches tall. They still rub a little when i'm out wheeling but they don't rub nearly as much as the 285's

Ive got 315/85/R16 W250 with no lift. They only rub if im turning hard and hit a bad bump but it does not rub bad enough to worry about.

P. S. I measured them when they where new and they where

34. 5 and with the rims they flair out to be almost 12. 5 wide.
