I am rebuilding my 1999 24v engine and would like some input. My engine will be a stock 215hp. Should I go with ARP main and rod bolts or use the stock ones. I am using the ARP head studs.

I think Cummins built a fairly good engine back then, with no added power the OEM should works just fine.

Unless you just like to spend money needlessly a set of stock bolts will last as long as you own the truck. My original engine went 800,000 miles on the original bolts, reused once when replacing a head gasket for a pesky seep that was common in '96 and '97. (poor gasket construction). The current engine has over 400,000 on stock type head bolts. I've been over 300HP at the wheels for over a million miles.
